DELVA wins selection for the design of the landscape park ‘Oostpolder’ | Groningen
In Northeast Groningen, we’re creating a 180-hectare landscape park, nestled between the Eemshaven and the communities of Oudeschip, Koningsoord and Nooitgedacht. By integrating nature values, water retention and technical feasibility into an immersive landscape, this will become a go to destination.
Our vision? We celebrate the dike!
At the heart of this vision is the Slaperdijk, not as a boundary, but as the backbone of the area. Building upon the wishes of residents and local authorities, we activate both sides of the dike, honoring the region’s cultural-historical landscape, defined by three water typologies.
