Soil, care and community – DELVA Studio

How do we revive a garden after soil remediation? And how do we reestablish an ecosystem that supports biodiversity, education, and shared experiences?

Last Saturday, the DELVA team rolled up their sleeves during NLdoet – bringing new life to the heart of a community garden. Together with volunteers, we replanted rhubarb plant, medicinal herbs, and flowers, restored bee hotels, and repositioned timber benches to create inviting spaces. Hands in the soil, guided by the garden’s history and ecology, we mulched, weeded, and rebuilt the compost heap—nourishing both the earth and our connection to it.

A big thank you to everyone who joined!
