Two awards for Mediavaert | Amsterdam

DPG Media’s new head office in The Netherlands has earned two prestigious awards this week. Last night, it was named “Office Building of the Year 2024” by Architectenweb, while earlier in the week, the project also won a BLT Award in the “Architectural Design – Commercial” category. DELVA was responsible for designing the landscape and outdoor spaces of the innovative wooden-hybrid office building at Amstel Business Park.

The Architectenweb jury commended the building’s surrounding landscape for its thoughtful and detailed design. A broad, lush walkway wraps around the building, which is situated within a secure area, leading to a spacious green roof terrace at the rear. The jury noted that this circulation effectively connects the building with its natural surroundings and vice versa. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of the readily accessible greenery, viewing it as a key factor in enhancing the quality of the working environment.
